About the Newtown Residents Association
The Newtown Residents Association has been going for many years but since the Covid pandemic the Committee has refreshed and updated itself with a focus on improving the local environment in a positive way.
The aim of the Residents Association is to improve the local area to make it an even nicer place to live, with various projects to green the area, encourage wildlife, connect people socially and build a sense of community.
A newsletter is produced regularly which is distributed to all 500 houses, and there is also a private Facebook page for residents with 160 members.
Each autumn we hold an AGM, normally in the local pub, at which committee members are elected and forthcoming projects and activities are discussed.
The current Committee is Nick Tann (Chair), Liza Martin (Secretary), Adrian Martin (Treasurer), Ben Earl, Debbie Tann, Michael Jennings, Matt Allen.
